Merci ✌️

Any questions?

  • Where can I go canoeing in the Gorges de l'Hérault?
From our base at the Pont du Diable in Aniane, you paddle along the Hérault river through the Gorges, a Grand Site de France. Our route is a loop — no shuttle needed to return.
  • From what age can children canoe in the Gorges de l'Hérault?
All our routes are open from age 3. In all cases, under parental responsibility.
    • Ages 3 to 6: mandatory life jacket (provided)
    • From age 6: mandatory buoyancy aid (provided)
    • Up to age 10: an adult must be on board in the same boat
  • What is the difference between a buoyancy aid and a life jacket?
A buoyancy aid keeps a conscious, swimming person at the surface.
A life jacket, more enveloping, is designed to keep the head above water even in the event of unconsciousness. It is mandatory for very young children, especially those who cannot swim.
We provide buoyancy aids for all participants, and life jackets adapted for children aged 3 to 6.
  • What is the best time of year to canoe on the Hérault?
From April to October. May–June offers high water and lush green cliffs. September is ideal: calmer water, fewer visitors and golden light.
  • Is the water level sufficient for canoeing or paddleboarding?
The Hérault flow is checked every morning. If the level is too low or unsafe, we cancel outings and notify you. Check the Conditions page before your visit.
  • How do I book a canoe rental on the Hérault?
Use the Book Now button at the top of the page, available 24/7. For groups or specific questions, call us directly.
